I’m a rude dude, but I’m the real deal. Lean and mean! Cocked, locked and ready-to-rock. Rough, tough and hard to bluff. I take it slow, I go with the flow, I ride with the tide. I’ve got glide in my stride. Drivin and movin, sailin and spinin, jiving and groovin, wailin and winnin. I don’t snooze, so I don’t lose. I keep the pedal to the metal and the rubber on the road. I party hearty and lunch time is crunch time. I’m hangin in, there ain’t no doubt and I’m hangin tough, over and out!" George Carlin 1937 - 2008
First, if you have not heard the Shut-Ins will open on June 26 at 8am and will remain open until August 24th. I heard that work is about to begin on a new cell tower in the Lesterville area. It will be located back on the West Fork, so there should be a good signal all up and down the river as well as in the "metro" Lesterville area. On our last trip to Lesterville we had a number of cases of calls failing to go through. I believe this is because of the limited capacity on the current tower and I'm sure there are a lot more phones now that there is such a large work crew rebuilding the upper reservoir.
We all have a music hero from our youth and for me it's always been Bo Diddley. Just heard that Bo died today. At least his music will live forever.
If you don't read the St Louis Post here is an article that is pretty interesting. Now its a long way from getting past the law makers and then you have to enforce the law and that has never been a big thing in Reynolds County, but still could make a difference.
