The End
It's been three years since that eventful morning. Since I'm no longer living in Lesterville and there is a great lack of news about the work on top of the mountain and not a whole lot of news out of DNR I've decided that this is a good time to put this blog to sleep. I will leave it up on the net as long as Blogger (Google) leaves it up as a historical document of what went on during these past three years. I'm sure that many of the links are already dead since many news papers don't leave articles up for a great deal of time. However, I think this link will be up for years to come and I think it best explains what happened December 14 to the people living along the river.

Hello Lee,I would like to thank you for the last 3 years keeping us up on taum sauk flood. You did a great job, you always kept a honest view of what was going on I miss coming to Missouri as I have moved to Florida. Take care George Coming up in June can't wait
