We all have a music hero from our youth and for me it's always been Bo Diddley. Just heard that Bo died today. At least his music will live forever.

Hi,
I can't speak to what happens on the Black river, but I have heard reports about the water patrol keeping a tite ship on the Meramac and Huzzzzah around Steelville Mo.

Last night on the David Letterman show, Paul Shaffer stated that Bo Diddley was also known for making some of his own guitars. I thought that was an interesting fact. Bo Diddley is a legend and ranks at the top with Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Buddy Guy and B.B. King. They all have their own unique sound, beat and rhythm that cannot be duplicated. Eric Clapton and Robby Robertson did a tribute to Bo Diddley at the 2007 Guitar Festival playing "Who Do You Love", they knew then he was not well.
