Long Time Concern

The Springfield news paper has a good article about one of my long time concerns. In the 24 years I lived in Lesterville there were too many deadly crashes that involved young people. If you sat in the parking lot of Lesterville school, as I did many afternoons waiting for Pam, you saw most student drivers (and most parents) leaving the lot without wearing seat belts. Life just didn't seem to be valued.

You are so right, I just saw a story on the KC news tonight.

A couple of girls from the suburbs driving in a rural area, both killed in the crash. They didn't say so on the news report, but I would bet they were not wearing seatbelts.

I read the story, seems the driver did have on a seat belt , but the passenger did not. Also , in the story it mentions they hit a guard rail. Kansas has good roads, but ironicaly , the guard rails cause more deaths than you might think.
