Labor Day Weekend

This was one of the slowest holiday weekends, as far as sales go, in a number of years. The weather was great, although a number of folks commented on the cool Saturday for floating. I took my son and daughter-in-law up on the West Fork on Sunday. There seemed to be a lot of people floating and the temperature was fine after a month of baking.

i think we can thank schools for opening up waaayyyy to early and gas prices as well as i camped at twin rivers landing in lesterville and had the same experience. electric sites were full and probably 20 to 25% of basic sites were occupied. but that did not slow me down from having an excellent time in black river country! good food and friendly people! the only thing i regret is i ran out of time to stop by the pottery and meet the by now, famous man behind man behind this blog. i too hope you keep this valuable source of information and goings on in general in this beautiful place god created called black river country. had not been down there in over 10 years and yet it still moves me to take it all in. i intend to get down there again sometime in the next couple of months do you have different off-season hours?

After October 15 we will go to winter schedule, which is sometimes we are here and sometimes we are gone. So call or email before heading this direction. Truth is most times we are here.
