Shut-Ins News
This "news" is almost five months old, but I just dug it out. DNR sure didn't make it easy to find.
Archive of posts made between December 25, 2005 and December 14, 2008 about the Taum Sauk Reservoir failure and the damage to the Shut-Ins and the Black River. This blog was posted by Lee Ferber of Peola Valley Pottery in Lesterville. The pottery was closed in 2007.

Found this:
photos of restoration of river
Boulder field cleanup
Overall
Nothing on when the photos were taken.
I would say these do demonstrate that work is being done.
Sorry for the all the comments, but it's actually hard to determine when these photos were taken. The only date attached to the pages is March 2007, for the page.
A timeline with tasks, and checks when completed would go a long way in keeping the public up to date.
Oops, I commented on the wrong post...
All the photos have what looks to be a date extension: 32807.
It basically just proves that all the 'public comment' last year was just for show. It also makes it pretty clear why the state park PR folks are lying low.
I think this stinks.
