Shut-Ins Tour

After taking a tour of the state park this afternoon I hope I can convience all those that read this to make sure you take the time and visit the park while you are in the area. Perhaps the most memorable experience was walking through the Boulder Field Trail. This is an area located between the scar on Proffit Mountain and the main road into the park. All of the large boulders that washed down the mountain, and these were not the boulders that made up the reservoir, but the rock that was ripped from the mountain by all the water are scattered across a large, almost desert landscape.
