Thank you for the picture. It looks like a beautiful day there!
The river looks better than what I had expected. Thanks for the picture! Last night I was thinking how great it would be to have a live cam from the bridge, especially with the weekend canoers coming down. This would be cool if Ameren would spring for it. (lol)
From this view the river doesn't look too bad, in fact, it looks as good as it ever has for the past few months. I would'nt have a problem jumping in! Besides, it will start to look better the more shallow it becomes. What's your opinion?
The only unknown for the river is what is going to be the effect of a lot of canoes and tubers moving down river. I don't know how much silt might be still on the bottom of the river. I'll try to get down late Saturday afternoon and take another photo.
It looks good to me! I've seen and swam in much murkier water than that. We're from Chicago and there aren't any bodies of water as clear as Black River around here - including the rivers in Michigan and Wisconsin. Missouri is fortunate to have such beautiful rivers and in my opinion the Black River is still one of them.
Lee Thanks for all the pictures and time you spend keeping us updated. I was there in Feb. and it looked like chocolate milk, sure looks better now
