Money and Meeting

DNR has released information on the amount it has billed Ameren for personel and material expenses at the Shut-Ins during the first three months of 2006. I'm sure that some politician wanted this figure out in the public, because Ameren has probably spent 20 times this amount or more since December 14. And the job will not be finished for at least one more year. When the final report is made I'm sure that the financial figure will be astounding.

The Missouri Department of Natural Resources has postponed its monthly informational meeting on water quality in the Black River and progress at Johnson's Shut-Ins State Park, which was scheduled for May 8 at the Lesterville High School in Lesterville.

The meeting will be rescheduled later in May. A new time and place will be announced when details have been finalized.
