Opinion From The Top
Here is a Matt Blunt editorial in the KC newspaper.
Archive of posts made between December 25, 2005 and December 14, 2008 about the Taum Sauk Reservoir failure and the damage to the Shut-Ins and the Black River. This blog was posted by Lee Ferber of Peola Valley Pottery in Lesterville. The pottery was closed in 2007.

thank you mr. blunt. you're such a kind and generous man. i'm sure the folks from reynolds and iron county that were affected by the breach will rush to your trail.
I think this is called a 'bait and switch'. I suggest that those in Reynolds and Iron counties keep a watch on what is planned for the Current River state park. There is a very good chance (if you are an average Joe or Jane) that you are not going to like it.
The use of Ameren money for the KC trail is just a travesty. Plain and simple. However, as Mr. Blunt knows, there are more voters over there than in rural Missouri.
What I don't get, is that they say Church Mountain was worth 60 million dollars and so was too costly to include.
Worth 60 Million dollars for what?
I think it is 1400 acres. If it is worth $3000 an acre, which is a stretch, then that is 4.2 million.
I think bait and switch is right.
