Perfectly centered, remarkably connected

Here is a wonderful editorial by Eric Mink.

Thinking about yesterdays "news" I realized it had to be a stunt by DNR. They have been negotiating with Ameren for months and all they have to show for it is a statement that they have made a proposal to settle, but we can't tell you what the proposal is. This press release was sent out to coincide with the one year anniversary and not much else. My question is does this mean that DNR "blinked" first, stay tuned.

To put it simply, Ameren sounds like a company that is mismanaged with top executives skimming the cream. Maybe with all of the storms over the past years knocking over trees and downing limbs, Ameren won't have much left to trim, at least for a little while!

I live in central Illinois where Ameren is the big utility. Our rates are supposed to go up 55% next year for the "services". Most people around here do not know what happened with the Taum Sauk or with all the problems Ameren is having in Missouri. I am doing my part to let everyone know why their bills are going to go up 55%. I printed this article and put it up in the break room for everyone to see the outrageous bonuses, salaries by the big guys within Ameren.
