Black River News
Archive of posts made between December 25, 2005 and December 14, 2008 about the Taum Sauk Reservoir failure and the damage to the Shut-Ins and the Black River. This blog was posted by Lee Ferber of Peola Valley Pottery in Lesterville. The pottery was closed in 2007.

Great story find Lee!!! Keep the good work up!!! You actually have become a great ambassador to not only the black river region, but to the entire state of Missouri as well.
The Ozark Trail Association sent out a press kit and their story has been popping up all over. It is on the cover of the Southwest Airlines inflight magazine and has appeared in the Canadian Vancouver Sun. One of the most popular and scenic segments of the trail is at Taum Sauk Mountain in your area Lee, which is another good reason to visit the area.
