Meeting Notes

The monthly DNR meeting last night was only attended by about a dozen hard core locals. The most important information that I received is Ameren is going to start cleaning out the lower reservoir as soon as they receive the final permission. I have a friend that is working for Mactec, Ameren's enviromental contractor, and he said that two large mining dump trucks were delivered yesterday, and they were expecting two more today. Sounds like the clay they take out of the lower reservoir will be deposited on some land that Ameren has on the west side of the river near the Walker Branch road. I know that some of the folks that read this blog are planning on coming down the weekend of April 29. If they have started this work by then you will get to see the river at its worst.
