Governor calls for legal action

Its being reported tonight that Missouri's Governor is calling on the Attorney General to file civil or criminal charges against AmerenUE in connection with the incident involving its Taum Sauk Reservoir last month. This won't clean up the river, but will make a lot of people happy.
Stay tuned!

I've been coming to the Black River in Lesterville, MO for 45 plus years and consider it one of the prettiest areas in our state. The AmerenUE catastrophic event sickened me and it grieves me that the clean up efforts have been so disorganized. The fact that the State of Missouri is finally getting more involved is encouraging only if it hastens the clean up efforts and mitigates any further damage to the river and its ecosystem. Thank you for posting all the news on your blog. I will continue to support the area by coming to visit this summer. Our prayers are with you all.
