From the photo the river has a nice color but doesn't appear to be very clear. Is that how you perceive it? The water looks very clear in Ameren's photos of JSI State Park.
This whole incident and its consequences is upsetting to many people who visit the area. I can only imagine how area residents and businesses feel with only a few months to go before the floating and swimming season starts.
Heard on the news that the Toops have settled with Ameren.
The photos of the river at the Shut-Ins is above the lower reservoir where most of the silt is. Everytime it rains more of the silt moves further south, toward Clearwater Lake. By the time it gets to BRL it is being diluted by the West Fork and Middle fork that are still very clear.
